There is a long story of thieves in Muzaffarpur district in just one month. After houses and shops, they have now started targeting temples. Now Maa Sita is also upset with this act of these thieves. Leaving Maa Sita alone, the idols of Ram, Laxman and Hanuman have been stolen. It is told that in the year 2008, all the idols of Ashtadhatu were stolen from Ram Janaki temple and due to this the worship stopped. Again the villagers installed four idols of Ashtadhatu. After that people started worshiping. Now the priest reached the temple for worship. During that time he was stunned to see the scene of the temple. Three idols were found missing from four idols. This news spread like fire. There is anger in the village due to the second incident.
Regarding this matter, the temple priest Ajay Thakur has said that a years old Ashtadhatu idol has been stolen, which is worth lakhs. Leaving the idol of Mother Sita, the idols of Lord Ram, Laxman and Hanuman have been taken away. The villagers are very disappointed by this and if concrete steps are not taken by the administration soon, then we will take to the streets. On the other hand, Aurai police station chief Rupak Kumar has said that an application has been received regarding the theft of idols from a temple. He has also carried out this incident. Information is being taken, CCTV cameras installed at various places in the area are being scanned. The three missing idols will be recovered soon.
